In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 sports apps on the iOS platform in South Africa showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance:

Betway - Sports Betting saw weekly downloads fluctuate between 2.5K and 3.1K. The app experienced a peak of 3.1K downloads in the week of February 28, followed by a slight decline and then another rise to 3.1K by the end of March. Weekly active users hovered around 17K to 18K, with a peak of 18.6K in mid-March.

SuperSport Schools had a significant increase in downloads, starting from as low as 43 in late December and reaching up to 2K in the last week of February. Another peak was observed with 1.6K downloads in mid-March, maintaining a steady rate above 1K for the rest of the quarter.
